I was enjoying a quiet, relaxed session of Secret of Mana in the small hours of the morning when I heard a very plaintive "daddy! Daddy!" coming over the baby monitor. My daughter had woken up and jumping up and down in her cot, clutching her stuffed rabbit and yelling for me.

I entered and inquired as to the nature of the emergency.
Did she require a clean nappy?
"No".
Did she feel parched and desire some water?
"No".
Did she want some toddler milk?
"Bobble." She affirmed.
I assured her I would make her a bottle and quietly left the room, never to return.

When I returned with her "bobble", she gave me her patented little shark-toothed grin.

We tried her with Yoshi's Island this afternoon. Although she was able to master jumping, her tactics otherwise involved mashing each and every button randomly. We will try her with Street Fighter 2 tomorrow.
