Ryuji gets a fair amount of hate for constantly calling Morgana worthless when he doesn't really contribute anything to the team himself. That and he's a total idiot who almost constantly shouts about how your group are Phantom Thieves in front of tons of people among other things.

yeah, this is what I mean when I say he's a believable, nuanced character. He's insecure about his own value to the Phantom Thieves, which goes back to Kamoshida and his abusive father. Ryuji wants to help and while he doesn't always know how, his heart is in the right place.

I forgot to include Officer Kurosawa. Yeah, Ryuji is believable though sometimes that's a bad thing for players. He's probably the least liked idiot character from P3-5 since even Teddie has more fans from what I've seen.

Sources for believable conflict are a net positive to the player!

yeah, ryuji is good

but also mishima is fun to see because he's basically your average super eager geek fanboy and he gets dunked on numerous times. also i kinda warmed up to him in the end after you show how much of a selfish dick he is.

i wish sae's dialogue were better.

Tell that to all the people ranking Ryuji last and calling him awful! The only other character in the game who is maybe as disliked as him is Akechi, but Akechi is super popular in Japan because of Joker/Akechi shippers

I'm not entirely sold on Akechi yet, but I suspect the bulk of his characterization has been saved for the end game.

I didn't like her for this but it is painfully realistic. Every corrupted leader came from an idealistic background like hers.

I haven't seen much of anybody who thinks the game sucks! Then again I think Futaba is whatever anyways so lots of people dislike my opinion there

there was that beach scene where ryuji's eyes were the camera and lingered on ann's boobs tho
