time..

i wake up, i go to work where nothing goes right and i feel like im going no where in that career, but i stay because i can't find another job that pays as much. i go home, i cook a bland, boring dinner, and go pick up my gf. we get home, we go to sleep. everyday is the same. meanwhile

-we're in about 5k in credit card debt
-my parents are constantly in the hospital cuz of illness and i feel guilty about not being there
-i have constant, chronic back and neck pain which makes me dizzy
-i keep gaining weight cuz i eat and drink alcohol to cope with the depression.
-in the last 2 years i lost ALL of my close friends. i feel so alonee

i keep trying to turn my life around, but it always bounces back to this lull of saddness. like i tried dieting, but that just stressed me out. i try gardening to take my mind off things, but that too STRESSES me out. im trying to find a new job but i dont get any calls. nothing i do works. i just feel like im stuck in misery and it hurts.

The only way I cope with my stress is by finding ways to act as if everything else doesn't exist in my life. Super Mario Odyssey gave me relief for about 10 days.

I don't feel okay with feeling sad, but I realize the chance that my situation changes from where it is now is unlikely, so I just live on and hope one day my fortunes will change.

what can i do

Seek professional help in all areas you need.

Get someone to help you organize your finances. See a medical specialist concerning your chronic pain/dizziness, but most important of all, seek help of a psychologist/psychiatrist to help with your depression.

The latter one is probably the reason why you lost your friends. You can't help to hope you can sort this all out on your own. Don't make the mistake of thinking you should and have to. While adulthood does come with it's fair share of issues, it shouldn't be this bad.

well that is definitely within your control to change and won't take a ton of effort. the internet is full of recipes. cooking for one can be a challenge with respect to using all of your ingredients (the smallest container of sour cream is 2oz but my recipe only needs 1 tbps), but if you freeze things and are okay with leftovers its totally manageable.

Sounds like your doing about the same if not better than most.
Standard "see a therapist" answer. Easier said than done.
Otherwise. Make some goals to have fun or accomplish something. Easy stuff. Build from there.
Accomplishments make most people feel really good but getting the motivation is the hard part.
