Until this story the idea of a "slippery path." Where if you can identify as a different gender freely what's to stop you from identifying as another race, animal, or an attack helicopter was considered a joke.

Now, you shouldn't let them try to dye themselves blue and try to get a trans-animal operation since that isn't a thing with any scientific backing that any non-incarcerated doctor should be allowed to do, but why can't you just call them Sonic and walk away?

But what if calling them sonic encourages them to get an operation to become part blue hedgehog. It's encouraging a delusion and making them thing it's ok to be sonic.

aside from co-opting and ridiculing transgender issues, it's devaluing the issues that actual transracial people face.

transracial people do exist, but it is nothing like what this guy (or Rachel Dolezal, or that woman with the massive tits who wears permanent blackface) is describing.

Transracial issues refer specifically to adopted children whose adopted parents are of a different race than their birth parents. for example, if a white family adopts a Chinese baby, that baby will be transracial - they're socialized as though they're white, probably most of the people around them are white, but they're not.
