PWInsider reports that during the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Jake Hager (Jack Swagger) signed a contract with Bellator MMA to compete in their heavyweight division next year.
He announced during Chael Sonnens podcast in March that he requested his release from WWE because he wasnt getting opportunities. Since then, hes worked for several independent promotions, occasionally managed by his wife Catalina. Its unlikely WWE will let him use his Jack Swagger name during his MMA career. This also means that Swagger will be fighting in the same division for Bellator as Bobby Lashley. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Can't wait to see him fight. The fact that Swaggie has an actual amateur wrestling background means that he's already better equipped for the Octagon than CM Punk was when he tried this stunt in UFC.

swagger vs lashley would be sweet to see although lashley is a beast.
swagger should at least be better than punk. i would be interested to watch swaggers first fight but that's probably like a year away. i wouldn't wanna buy it though unless it's on a big card. ... Copied to Clipboard!
