being axed is an ongoing thing. It's not like you just lose one account. You lose all accounts and every other one you try to make until you change IPs and figure out that you can't log onto your old accounts anymore. Even just trying will flag your new IP. If you're not in an area to get a new internet service, or if you're no where near like, moving, then you are forever stuck visiting gamefaqs on your cellphone or the librery.

You just need a new IP to "raise" the new accounts, not to continually use them.

This was in college where I had a wealth of new IPs in libraries to use. I would make several alts on individual usermaps and keep them in quarantine. After I got axed/fully banned, I would introduce a new alt cluster into my old usermap, which was tainted sure, but I had about 3 or 4 alts at level 25 which was enough to survive the first few suspensions/bans that you would get from a tainted usermap moderation.

Actually, I never could figure out how people could keep their karma without wanting to "spend" it in some way.

I found trolling to be the best way to spend karma, until it started costing accounts and IPs lol.

I never did college, so to the leyman getting around a useraxe was a bit harder. I just gave up for a year or so, then made a few accounts before settleing on this one. I would like to think the mods probably know who I am and let me stay, but I'm sure if that was true, I'd be banned in a heartbeat.

Eh alright. I used to get banned/axed all the time and would use proxy servers to create new accounts. It was so easy to create a new account getting banned meant nothing at all. It was kind of annoying coming up with new variations of Notyou though. Instead of trying to be clever with shit like Knotyou or whatever I should have just added a 1 to the name, then 2, and so on. Favorite account I had was assassassinassattack but lost that.
