One of my female friends ive known forever and we're super close and her boyfriend, who i like though ive only met him like 4-5 times and theyve been dating for close to 2 years. great guy, likes similar music to me etc.

anyways, at one point he asked a question and I reply "My house is your house bro" or something because im a laid back easygoing(carefree)dude.

So like an hour later hes sitting on my couch and lets a massive fart rip. I go "uhhh" and he's like 'hey, you said it was my house too" and I go

"no, no, its fine, ive just been letting mine go in the bathroom, happy to hear I dont have to do that anymore"

kinda felt like a stranger in my own house for a second.

Well a little for a second. Its my house so I can get the rules, especially with farting, so im being respectful running to the restroom each time.

but it turns out I didnt even have to do that. I mean, I would have loved to not have to go to the bathroom to fart each time, but I didnt know they wouldnt care.

How flatulent are you? Can you not fart quietly?

I can fart quietly but it does stink like motherfucker so there is that.

You should eat less dairy. Maybe drink less soda

I eat a bit of dairy, but my soda habits probably equal out to a couple cans a week or so. not too much.

you know, once in a while id get random farting spells but not often enough to where it felt abnormal. But ever since my colon surgery(got 12" of colon removed because of an infection), ive been farting way more often. It could easily be my eating habits, but I blame it on the surgery.

perhaps im farting more because there's 12 inches less of road to travel? >_>

Well in that case it should be completely understandable.

To be honest, I hate farting. I dont think its funny and have pretty much mastered the silent fart.

However, I am not offended when somebody else does it on occasion. As long as it isnt a constant thing or clearly on purpose its no big deal.
