I am gonna have $30 free Microsoft cash to use in a few days. Dishonored 1 deathinitive edition is $10 and Dishonored 2 is $20.

Are these decent games?

If not, I am gonna get Quantum Break $20 and something else with it.

Imagine having a bunch of toys but being punished for playing with some of them.

Still pretty fun. Dishonored 1 is worth the price. Dishonored 2 is more of the same.

Apparently I can get the whole collection including Dishonored Death of an outsider for $32 total also.

Can you elaborate on punished to use your toys? I am not familiar with the game.

The game has high chaos and low chaos, leading to different endings

Killing gets you high chaos, while being stealthy and nonviolent gets you low chaos. High chaos makes the game harder and has negative repercussions on the story, but many of the abilities and weapons are designed specifically for killing, so if you go for a good ending you don't get to use a lot of what the game gives you

That being said they're two of my favorite games ever and I highly recommend them

Gameplay is sort of like Bioshock with a stealth focus

I don't like stealth and like to kill shit. Will I like these games?

You don't have to do stealth, you can just go and be a superpowered mass murderer and it's fun using the different powers in creative ways

just don't expect a happy ending

Is there anything that the happy ending gives you besides just a different cut scene?

Great stealth games in the vein of Thief. If you enjoy stealth at all, it's fun. If you want to go out and kill everything, you can (but the story is definitely for the worse, almost in a way that hurts the enjoyability of the game).

I could do...

Wolfenstein 2 pack for $15. Evil Within for $6.60 and uh... Mighty number 9 for $5. For $1.60 out of pocket.

Is that a better idea than $2 out of pocket for Dishonored deathinitive edition, Dishonored 2, and Dishonored path of the outsider?

Or I could do... Halo wars 1 and 2 for $0 out of pocket.

Dishonored 1 is great. Playing through Nier Automata first before I get to Dishonored 2 but I'm excited for that one.

If you care about length, Dishonored is pretty short. Maybe 12 hours. Can't imagine the 2nd being much longer. But it's good fun.

If you get Halo Wars 2 we can play!

As far as Dishonored, it had all the pieces of a game I should fucking love, but for some reason I just...didnt?

It's longer if you play them both twice, which I did

The main thing is the ending that changes, but in addition if you play on High Chaos there will be more guards, more hazards, etc. (in response to you basically being a mass murderer on the loose)

so if you kill things you might actually like the increased challenge

High Chaos doesn't just change the ending, the tone of the whole plot shifts. Some of the villains are vaguely sympathetic in Low Chaos, and outright monsters in High Chaos, for example. Basically, the more you kill, the more horrible a place the whole world becomes, and everyone gets more cynical and desperate. It's a pretty cool system, actually, although it could have been implemented a bit better.
