Ok on a worldwide level, the battlefront debacle is nothing, but battlefront 2 rage is important to gaming's future going forward.

It is literally a turning point in whether companies like EA will continue to walk over gamers with p2w microtransactions, or if they will actually start reining microtransactions in.

It's no longer about battlefront alone, it's literally fighting pay2win mechanics in retail games as a whole.

The company is not actually down on its luck, people are still handing them money, people are still supporting, and playing BF2.

BF2 has the same outcry as BF1 yet nothing was changed, even Activisions COD:WW2 with their microtransactions is still selling and people still playing it.

The only way to see change happen is if sales of COD:WW2 and BF2 dropped off significantly and a majority of people stopped playing those games.
