Although some substandard CE posters (e.g. sadmiral) might tell you I'm left wing, I am actually a moderate. Obviously, anything left of Duke or Spencer looks leftist to their followers, so that's why. So it's time for me to defend a GOP congressman now... Joe Barton.

What is he apologizing for?!? He sent a nude selfie to a consenting, mature woman when he was divorced. What's so wrong about that? Dude is apologizing left and right.

Let's notice the sheer hypocrisy here, do you remember certain even where Hollywood celebrities had their nude selfies leaked? JLaw was literally weeping and said she felt violated and said that anyone who ever sees that picture is a sex criminal who should be jailed. She is still milking the incident for pity, I just read last week her talk about it AGAIN.

Why is Jlaw a victim for having her pic leaked while Joe Barton has to apologize because a scored ex-lover leaked his pic? It's hypocrisy at its finest!

I think Barton was apologizing because his base consists of conservative people that aren't used to the idea of people sending nudes to each other even when it's all consenting. Some parts of America are really not used to idea of sex being a common everyday thing. Some people believe sex should be only for making babies and not really out there.

I don't think he should apologize either if he wasn't harassing anyone or cheating on someone while in a relationship.

His base is ok with 45 and Moore, so this should be no scandal to them. I see your point though.

I agree. But this is because he's handled it so well. He's apologizing profusely and specifying he was divorced and the woman was consenting and of age. But even the news people are like 'his pic leaked hahahahaa'. They'd be outraged if it were a woman.
