This is the same as 3DS XL just without the 3D effect correct? Meaning I can play games that aren't supported on the old 2DS/3DS and the console is better too right?
And I can transfer my account and games/data between a regular 3DS and a 2DS XL right?

Yeah you should be able to. It's all the same just with no 3D.

Yeah, but keep in mind there is also a thing called the New 3DS XL and New 2DS XL. The old 2DS looked like a wedge/doorstop. The New 2DS looks like a New 3DS. It's dumb. I know. The New ones have a C nub and can read Amiibos. Some games can only be played on the New ones as well.

It's basically the same thing yes. I'm not sure what's up with the little nub on mine but it's a fun little handheld.

Yeah. There's only the old 2DS, and the New 2DS XL. There's no old 2DS XL from what I understand.

You probably don't want the old 2DS anyway with that weird wedge design

Okay thanks. I just want to get a new one because my old regular 3DS can barely function. And I noticed that the New 2DS XL is cheaper than the New 3DS XL and since it can play all games I can play the Xenoblade one and the Fire Emblem Warriors right?

It should play basically everything that doesn't require 3D. Also worth noting that the 2DS XL comes with a charger and a new 3DS XL does not.

Yeah, no one actually plays with 3D. Maybe for like a second and then never again.

I think it comes with a memory card by default (3DS did at least).

It comes with a 4GB card in it already so you don't even need anything but your games!
