Good looking is an advantage. But I wouldn't call it huge, although that depends on the situation.
There are advantages that are as, or more, important than good looks:
Intelligence, Health, Money, Geography, Education, Charisma, Social skills etc.

Nope. Expectations for you are really high and it's very stressful.

and just overall having it easier in life...
Growing up eating healthy, nutritious food will make life easier overall. When your mind and organs actually, work things can be great.

Hm....on the surface it's easy to say yes; good-looking people have advantages. But on the other hand, there are cases wherein beautiful girls or women have been a target of abuse because they stand out.

Beautiful people born from impoverished places can be targets for abuse; simply because they catch the eye of the wrong people. And they have no means to resist or assert themselves.

So I can guess having beauty has duality in effect; like everything else. It can be a blessing or a curse; sometimes both.

Good looks tend to improve charisma and social skills since anything you say will come across better. Likewise, good-looking people are often perceived as being more intelligent or capable; of course, more broadly you *don't* need high intelligence to succeed since almost every aspect of life is based more personal relationships and, of course, there's a diminishing return on intelligence after a certain point.

As for geography, where you're born or live can influence your success but, within that area (assuming that you're not a third-world female), you'll still benefit greatly from being better-looking

Which, if anything, proves the argument. A wealthy ugly person has to work hard for it. However, an attractive person who marries the ugly person gets access to that same wealth *without* putting the work in. (Granted, there's some amount of work required to look good.)

Of course, there's an inherent disadvantage to good looks as lampooned by 30 Rock where you had a dangerously unqualified doctor who skated by on his appearance all his life and therefore never actually learned how to do anything well.
