Surprise surprise, you act like a weird fuck, you get treated like a weird fuck. On the flip side, one of my best friends in this world is fucking hideous. Weighs in at close to 400 pounds, acne pits all over his face, and is so shy and socially awkward that we've always had the suspicion that he might be slightly... I don't want to say autistic because of the catch-all use of that word now, but slow I guess. The difference between him and fucking Morpheus up there? He's the sweetest guy you'll ever meet. So kind we used to have to make sure he didn't put himself out to help others, because he would do anything to help anyone. I was the best man at his wedding a few years ago, and he always had a girlfriend. He was so kind and sweet that girls actually liked him for him and absolutely nobody ever made fun of him. I mean, it probably helped that everyone was aware that bullying him meant that I would break their fucking face, but he was one of the most beloved kids in my high school. The point I'm trying to make is, there are certain things you can't control. The genetic lottery, shitty parenting, or any other number of things can fuck you. However, it's on you to handle those things. If people treat you like shit and you want to go cry in the corner and wish everything were all better, that's your choice. You don't get to accept things the way they are, and then bitch about the consequences of doing so. RedWhiteBlue posted... I don't much feel like playing "who had the worst life", but I'll leave the example I've talked about the most: My brother paid someone to rape my sister, to get back at me because I refused to buy him drugs. My parents treated me as the bad guy, because I exiled him with the promise of murdering him if I ever see him again. Needless to say, I didn't grow up with bad people, I grew up with the worst people. But I don't compare other's lives with mine. Nobody else has lived my life, and I haven't lived their life. One thing I won't do, however, is pretend to give a shit when people blame the past for why they are worthless now. You want to live in the past, have fun, but my past is fucking awful and I refuse to get dragged back into.
