Just saw Thor 3. Great movie, overall i'd say it's easily the best in the Thor series.

One thing that bothered me is how Starlord-y Thor was. He is yet another comedic character now. He usually cracked jokes when he wasn't on the verge of death charging up his cool lightning attack. Movie was still great and this didn't change it too much, but Thor (and to a lesser but still annoying extent Hulk) couldn't stay serious.

Normally change can be good, but how will this play out with other jokers like Stark, Starlord, Ant Man, Strange and Spideman in the mix?

Korg was the best comedic character ever though

It seems like Black Panther and Captain America are the only real serious characters. They see that people like comedy better and are gonna head that way basically

What is in your spoilers encompasses the only instances in which I found the movie to be funny, every other joke felt forced as fuck, they cant do a guardians of the galaxy jokefest when the main guys lack the charm and bante rof the GotG team, I was just put off entirely by all of it, except for you know who :P

It's because the dude who plays Korg was the director of the movie, and he allows a lot of improv. Korgs personality is pretty much the tone of taika waititi scripts/films.

Thor was always an arrogant ass. The first two movies, he was in situations he's absolutely clueless about so he dialed it back some. This time, for the most part, he was in situations he knew something of or he knew he could handle, he could let all his arrogance out.

He's always cracked jokes, but not in the same vein as Ragnarok. Tbh, I didn't mind the change. He's been gone for two years and he matured in The Dark World.

This is why I am giving it a chance since it may work well in the next movie.

Still not a huge fan.

But this side if him was always there. Despite the situation he was clearly more comfortable than he's ever been so that side could finally shine.
