After an hour or so of browsing and opening tabs, the whole thing starts freezing and it takes forever for the pointer to even move, much less close a window.

If you have too many tabs open to be crippling your system, try closing some

My Firefox forced an upgrade on me today....I don't like it. I don't fucking like it at all. I hate change when it comes to my browsers.

Why do you have so many instances of the process? I've only seen Chrome do that for each tab, but not Firefox. And even then, Cr still uses a lot less than FF. And FF doesn't free that much memory after closing tabs.

There is no "would of", "should of" or "could of".
There is "would've", "should've" and "could've".

I don't even know. I have 3 windows open, each with several tabs open, but I don't know why it generates that many processes.

I do like the layout better in Firefox than Chrome, which is why I've stuck with it.

Several smaller processes is better than one big process. It works better with multithreading and if one page crashes it doesn't take out the whole browser.

It just looks ugly in the task manager

In my case, every single Firefox window that is open freezes (and briefly gives the page crash message while I finally close the windows). I have to close every Firefox process then open Firefox again to gain control.

Never in my life will I ever understand why people have so my god damn tabs opened. I max out at like 5, and that's ONLY if I need to use multiple ones. I only have Gamefaqs open right now.
