There's this weird mentality that prisoners should be treated like animals. But that just makes things worse.

I remember when that dude shot all those people at this came to light in North America for the first time.
It's a joke IMO. They did some interview with a prisoner who killed his wife and he was talking about how he can't wait till his 10 years are up so he can get a job. The dude was living in a personal log cabin with cable television and was allowed to be a local ferry captain. If someone hurt someone I cared about and were sentenced to summer camp I would be livid. I didnt see anywhere in that article about how much private individuals profit off of Norways prison industrial complex (which is the whole point of prisons anyway) so it must be a pretty shitty system
