As one review has said, it's kind of like A Christmas Story in how exaggeratedly everyone talks. I also like the 80s references.

I've been watching it out of order in syndication; the shows are totally comprehensible that way after you've seen a few.

Yeah I like it, on Comedy they started just started syndicating The Goldbergs and Fresh off the Boat this fall and I enjoy both. The little actual home footage they show at the end of episodes is pretty neat.

Its a lot like Modern Family/Black-ish/Fresh off the Boat

Good for a few seasons but then it gets terrible when the writers run out of ideas

The worst thing about FotB is the grandma. Literally nothing she ever does is funny but they cut to her so often

Reminds me that I'm probably a few seasons behind on Modern Family now. Really loved that show at first.

It's just not funny to me. Maybe it's because I'm not asian or didn't grow up in a type of family like theirs, but I just didn't find it funny or entertaining.

I watched a few seasons of it. Its not bad.

Of that category of show, I prefer Fresh off the Boat. I relate because much of my family are immigrants and Im about the same age as Eddie. I remember the Shaq hype well, that Shaq-Fu episode was on point.
