Just looked. Originals are worth about $4k, collectors editions are $500.

I stopped trying to play standard because it can get so damn expensive. Yugioh is slightly cheaper, but I miss the old super fast paced Yugioh that you could summon a whole board of Synchros and XYZ in one turn.

yeah...

played Unlimited ones are double that.
good Unlimited and played Beta ones are 3-4x that.
good Betas start at 10k

Were you deep into standard? Like traveling to participate in tourneys deep?

I played Alpha - Ice Age (Maybe a bit more, I don't remember) and then I got back into it around 2012, but didn't have anyone really to play with

Yeah, I started during Scars of Mirrodin and stopped with Maze's End. My most successful was when Swagtusk was in the game that comboed well with that angel chick that just returned it to proc its ability.

Nah.

Turn 1: Black Lotus, Ancestral Recall, Ancestral Recall, Ancestral Recall, Black Lotus, AR x3, BL, AR x3, BL, AR x3, BL, AR x3, BL, AR x2--at this point you've drawn all but 2 cards in your deck--BL x6, AR x18 pointed at your opponent, GG first turn. Much more consistent since the entire deck is just 40 Ancestral Recalls and 20 Black Lotuses.

(This is why we have the 4 card limit rule now)

IDC about any other 0TKO decks, Memory Jar was always the coolest.

As far as I know, no other card has prompted an emergency ban in the middle of an active tournament.

But my combos uses 1 per deck, which doesn't even factor in 4-per deck. Channel and BL are banned, though, lol

Your combo relies on 4 specific cards, which is much harder to assemble in an opening hand of 7 out of a deck of 60.

Although to be fair, the original version of the Channel-Fireball deck only had 8 cards and was thus super consistent. That's why we have minimum deck sizes now.

Memory Jar is the coolest banning. I'll have to think about what my favorite combo is.
