No, the exact same conversation with different Uber drivers.

Where do you work? Do you work in the Deli? How was work?

I work in the Deli, it was ok. Can't complain. Better than being a server.

It pays bad and you have to be a really social person, which I'm not.

Oh boy now I'm about 95% of the way there and am now running out of things to say. Now is the time where I actually come up with something I want to talk about, and bam we're there.

FUCK JUST SIT IN SILENCE PLEASE. Nothing annoys me more than small talk. I would go mad if I worked for Uber and had to do that all fucking day. The best Uber driver I ever had just sat in silence and we listened to a talk show.

I don't want to make them feel bad. I guess I could try that. Half the time they're black/some minority though, and I feel like if I shun them they'll take it personally.

You dont have to talk at all. When you get in the car just act like youre tired and youve dozed off. There are some that I just say hello to and confirm the address and they dont bug me at all.

This one dude drove me like 40 minutes to the airport in LA and barely said a word. He just did his thing and listened to his hiphop while I farted around on my phone. Left him a huge tip.
