That would be because the narrative shifts. The focus ceases to be on criminal acts and becomes a sideshow of virtue signaling shit over ingroup preference, who can be the most "tollerant", the most "traditional", the most "progressive" - all a bag of shite.

At some point it will always come down to choosing between groups. At the extremes of each issue there will be things to hate, they all just end up being distractions for groups to beat each other with.

That's why I don't give a shit what Trump tweets. There are enough people who will tear their hair out over it while the issue that the message often badly or deliberately miss-communicates is ignored in favour over hysteria over a fucking tweet.

Is it really that big of an issue here in the states? We get immigrants from all over. People who immigrate and people who are born here do wrong. Many more live their life just fine. This issue tends to be so polarizing that people refuse to listen to anything anyway.

I think the issue is not that people won't listen, the issue is groups like Britain First keep lying with no awareness of boy who cried wolf.

Half the things they say are blatantly untrue, another quarter turn out to be hoaxes.

That makes the remaining 25% of shit they say that actually has merit get ignored.
