No they didn't. They still donate to anti lgbt groups, they've just cut back on it some. Not to mention they don't have any non-discrimination policies toward LGBT.

Which? Seems like all the ones after 2012 were only slightly anti lgbt ones which lots of non-boycotted companies support (Salvation Army etc), and even those were dropped in 2016 so doesn't seem like anything left

It's pretty easy if you just don't use USD and don't pay taxes

Chipotle, I guess?

I ate there about 5 times total in 3 different states, and 3 (once in each state) out of 5 times I found a gigantic strand of hair in my burrito.

After moving to Florida and getting a hair here, too, I guess I'm done with Chipotle forever.

Boycotting is dumb and never does anything so none

And its not a boycott if you wouldn't buy from them anyway.

You mean for reasons other than I don't want their stuff? Not really.

This is why I don't count Apple. That, and my job forces me to use Apple stuff every day so I can't exactly boycott them.

Oh, and it's not a company, but I am boycotting Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. I legitimately want it to fail because of microtransactions; Animal Crossing historically has received free DLC and other things from Nintendo and I really don't want them to get any ideas for future console/handheld games.

I used to boycott Sony. It lasted 20 years. I bought a PS3 and several used games and at this point, I doubt I'll get more stuff since I'm still too absorbed into Nintendo and PC. I am no longer boycotting them though, just that my gaming time and money is put into other systems.

Why did you boycott them originally?

Once I was 7 years old and my momma told me "I'll get you a PlayStation." She did, and I was all excited as it was set up. I popped in the demo disc it came with and...nothing came up except for the CD player. I tried it again. Nothing. The demo disc worked in another PlayStation. Other games worked in mine. Mine was defective.

Well we sent it to Sony and even though it was new, they didn't want to fix it for free. We paid them and then they sent us half the money back saying they didn't want to fix or replace it. My mom fought with them for a while but then we just gave up and got a Virtual Boy. I loved my VB. Way more than PS1.

That's my story of why I boycotted Sony and to this day put VB above PS1 in my favorite systems.

Nintendo. I'm sick of them recycling the same characters and passing it off as new shit.

That's the only one I can think of that I'm actively against purchasing anything from them.

It does a lot en masse. The only real thing that sends a message in this world is money.

Apple, and it's not so much a boycott as it is that I don't like their products more than Android or PC and they're way too expensive (and all their cords are dumb, just use micro USB damnit). So, naturally, I don't buy their stuff and probably won't unless they release something that actually is fantastic.

Sadly, even though we all seem to want to boycott Apple, I don't think our boycotting does anything to hurt them :/

Hertz Rental Car and State Farm Insurance

Not that I need to rent a car for anything I do, but one time my insurance told me when I was getting my car repaired from some vandalism that I had rental car coverage. So rather than borrowing my dad's spare car, I said, welp, might as well take the free rental car. The repair garage connected me with Hertz, who was the only company State Farm works with, and they assured me "oh yeah, absolutely, you have coverage. Just sign here and give us your credit card info because we only cover the daily rental fee and not the little side stuff like refilling the gas in the tank." And then they handed me this massive boilerplate contract that there was no way I was going to read, but hey, it's the one everyone uses, so it must be okay, right?

Hertz never contacts me. A week goes by. I call them to ask if it's okay to keep the car an extra day or two because the auto body shop is taking a while. No objections.

When I bring the car back, they inform me I'm being charged for $400 for the rental, and oh, guess what, I'm not covered by State Farm so I'm on the hook. They already have my info, have already charged the money to my card, and are waving the contract I signed for agreeing to top off the tank as grounds for charging me for everything. State Farm swore that they had never told me I had rental coverage and told me it's my job to know my policy. I tried to get the BBB involved, and they just went "well, you signed a contract, so tough shit, kid."

I dropped State Farm and switched to Geico -- which really did save me more than 15% on car insurance -- even though my family has had State Farm for like five decades. I can't do much to stick it to Hertz, though, who are the real villains. (If this write-up didn't convince you, rest assured, I gave the short version without all the petty details.)

And as an aside, there are plenty of companies I don't buy from, like Apple and Papa John's, but that's not because I'm "boycotting" them. I just don't want their stuff on grounds of quality, price, or both.

I never thought of myself as boycotting Apple but I don't buy their stuff on purpose so I guess that.
