Well, the majority of Americans will be receiving a cut. It should also be noted that to receive a cut you have to pay taxes in the first place. So, maybe some people on CE won't qualify. I don't know. I don't know everyone's financial situation.

But the whole thing is loaded with absolutely rotten pork. And that's only from what we've seen. Who knows what's in the chicken scratch scrawled in the margins.

Yeah, that is pretty just entirely awful.

Had to be voted on in the middle of the night while the bill WAS STILL BEING WRITTEN.

Give insurance to everyone by forcing them to buy it while simultaneously reducing health insurance competition and allowing deductibles to skyrocket so high that the insurance plans aren't even worth the paper they're printed on?

But what do I know. I'm sure you went to super-med school or something.

Everyone has insurance! (Pity about those $10k deductibles, though)

Just like it's ridiculous to say that we should just let poor people die. There's no perfect solution when it comes to trying to keep 300 million people healthy, of course it's going to cost money. A lot like this tax reform. Thing is if I have to pay for one thing for this country, keeping people alive would literally be the top of the list. Thats the definition of unborn child thats used (and supported by liberals) in cases where a pregnant woman is murdered, or if shes assaulted and that results in a miscarriage. This is not as controversial as youd like it to be.

This language is also specific to inheritance transfers. Nothing to do with abortion.

My issue is that the ACA disproportionately hurt working Americans making less than $40,000/year through the employer mandate and insane deductibles. It is to the point that small businesses (fewer than 500 employees) literally can't afford to insure their employees and remain open, and has been since the law went into full effect. This forces them to make all their positions fewer than 30 hours a week. (Note, small businesses of this type account for over half of all jobs in America.) If they were to fail instead, which is what a lot of liberals will say should happen, we would experience the worst economic depression that we've ever seen or likely will ever see.
