Just got Battlefield

Playing through operations, lotta fun stuff

Finished one and was promptly informed that everything I just did was for literally nothing

Like it's one thing to lock people out behind a paywall in advance, but they had me play through 45 minutes of an operations match only AFTERWARDS did they tell me that hey by the way even though we actually showed all the points and shit you got while you were in the game, you didn't actually get those points. They're just the points you would've gotten, had you fallen in line with the rest of the lootbox defending EA supporting incel sheep cucks and purchased our premium pass

This is the first I heard of this "premium pass". Is this on top of the base price of the game? Are they seriously taunting you with withheld rewards that you can unlock if you pony up for the premium version of the game? That's fucking garbage.

$67 for what is a 1.11MB file. They're charging you for a key to unlock the shit you already have locally. Oh man, EA really is trash. Fuck them, and fuck DICE.

I don't necessarily say fuck dice too, because Battlefield 3 was fucking awesome, but they're certainly still cashing the paychecks, that's for sure.

I used to deed in my pants over how sweet BF3 was when I hopped on that over CoD. Huge maps, elite vehicles, people who played for objectives and not for K/D.

Nope, now I can't justify defending this shit at all. Battlefield 1 actually has (what feel like) smaller maps, less destructive environments (which is a huge factor of why I loved BF3), and only about half the available maps because the other half are locked behind paywall.

Still more fun than COD though

What a load of shit. I was hoping to parse out my first playthrough of XBC2 by playing some Battlefield to keep myself from beating the game in one weekend, but jesus man, this is pitiful

Because I like Battlefield, and I figured the worst that existed was lootboxes and maybe some slightly better guns? I didn't think they were actively going to block you from the one thing that actually allows you to progress in multiplayer.
