Eh it felt more like the stepping stone for the hannah montana shows and beyond of live action shows that were unfunny with a laugh track. You'll note liz had no such thing.

But again, it was more my younger siblings' show that I happened to catch on several occasions rather than the shows that I kept up with.

I liked Zack and Cody quite a lot as well (though I never watched On Deck). Hannah is the point where I started to lose interest and Wizards I only really watched occasionally because I was into David Henrie. >_>

Oh and I never watched Cory in the House either.

Kim Possible was pretty good. Didn't watch much of the last season or the last movie though. For some reason, I dropped off after So the Drama (I think the second movie was called that).

As for the sitcoms, the last one I really got into was Suite Life. I watched Raven a lot too.

To be fair she just seemed like an inverse Kimmy. I always thought that was it, that she was the Fay to Kimmy's Buffy. She looked like KP only with green skin and black hair and nuclear power hands or something, whatever those are.

they actually explained about her glowing hands in the shows later seasons.

Shego and her brothers were affected by something that gave them all superpowers so they became superheroes. team go! but the more Shego fought against evil the more she found she loved evil so she abandoned her brothers and turned to a life of crime. team go appeared twice in the series. once when an old enemy of theirs appeared and kim teamed up with them to fight him. which kim blackmailed shego into helping out by threatening to reveal to the criminal world that shego used to be a good guy which would ruin her reputation. and again when the members of team go were turned evil while shego was turned good.

Damn I had no idea Ron actually gets moments where he becomes badass. I guess it makes sense that in 80 episodes there would be some progression, but I confess I only ever got to see the early episodes on tv so never got a chance to see where the series goes.

when he cowered in the corner someone did outright ask him "arent you supposed to be some kind of master as mystical monkey kung fu?"

which ron says "it comes and goes"

basically they couldnt let ron become as badass as kim even though by that point he was kind of the shows focus

kim's cousin actually explained why the writers started focusing more on ron
kim can do anything so when she does the impossible its no big deal. but ron cant so him going headfirst into danger is more interesting.

its why most episodes end with kim fighting shego the only villain who is a match for her while ron stumbles his way into saving the day

Well for starters, her voice was grating...

The show kind of emulated the gimmicks that Nickelodeon's Doug did (ie: teenage daydream sequences) and fell into some of the same pitfalls (ie: boring supporting cast), but worse. Besides Pepper Ann, barely any of the supporting cast really stood out as memorable beyond her two best friends and mother. And the voice acting (besides Pepper Ann) really lacked the characterizing "oomf" that other kids cartoons did. The amount of soft spoken ordinary voices in the show was a terrible fit for something aimed at an adolescent demographic (who respond more to distinct "cartoony" voices). Pepper Ann's voice cast seemed like it was better suited for something on MTV...

Why the show didn't make a bigger splash was likely more than that, including advertising and time slots.
