MegaMan is my all-time favorite. I can typically breeze through 1-6. 2 being my fastest, and 3 my favorite overall.

Honestly I lost interest in them since they were so difficult. But I never played most of the X's so I would get that collection

I can't beat 2 either, just because I could never finish the final boss for some reason. 7 was just super hard, and I'd say is the hardest of the series.

The weakness chain branches off in this game, but there are multiple routes you can still do.

My top 3 starting points are Top, Snake, or Magnet.

Weakness order is Top, Shadow, Spark, Magnet, Hard, Top ; Snake, Gemini, Needle, Snake

Magnet is weak to both Spark Shock and Shadow Blade, 4 hits each, but he's easy buster only as well. Snake is simple if you make the same movements he's doing by following close behind him.

Also note all the robot masters are weak to their own weapons, 7 hits each. If by chance during the boss rush you don't feel comfortable using their primary weakness. Ex: use Needle Cannon on NeedleMan over Gemini Laser, or Shadow Blade on ShadowMan over Top Spin.

The order for 3 is a bit complicated. The easiest ones that you can beat with the Mega Buster are Magnet Man, Top Man and Snake Man. However you'll have to beat at least two of them with the MB. Because say if you went this order

Magnet Man
Hard Man
Top Man
Shadow Man
Spark Man
Snake Man
Gemini Man
Needle Man

Snake Man's weakness however is Needle Man's weapon. So you'd have to beat both him and Magnet Man with the MB.

For later ones like 4, you should farm E-Tanks before you start the final levels. Those make the rest of the game kind of trivial.

As much as I love the Mega Man games, it would be funny if they did a ridiculous shit like killing a robot master doesn't automatically give you the weapon, you have to earn it in a lootcrate that is rigged to be at odds against the player. You have to play the stage plenty of times just to get the weapon.
