Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. You can get AI to run stuff like this effortlessly.

Right, but im not even sure the creators of the channel meant for this to happen. I don't think it's any sort of grooming or desensitizing campaign run by people with bad intentions.

Kind of like that Tay Speaks thing that Microsoft made huh? Not sure whether that's better or worse...

Is YouTube particularly at fault here, or is mostly just the piece of shit people who find these loopholes in the YouTube's algorithm and manage to upload these?

A mixture of A and B. Youtube is at fault for constantly looking the other way when this was getting out of hand. And, the people involved were at fault for thinking of it.

I don't think anyone is seriously at fault. From the sounds of things it's just an AI program that was set to learn what videos would be popular and it turned into what we got. That wasn't the intention of the creators most likely and youtube probably had no idea either

Eh, there were videos that were clearly made by humans too. The live action Elsa and Spider-man shit, and there were videos that were basically Daddy of Five knock offs.

From what I've read there is a ton of videos created by algorithmic processes which blur the line between videos for kids and "weird youtube", getting tons of views. Creeps me out big time. All the parents that don't understand that shit. I just hope all those views are bots, because it freaks me out thinking that a kid would watch it.

This is the result of Google wanting to put zero real effort into cleaning up YouTube and relying on bots to do the job of real people.

Yep, it's very easily abused. You can just take down random videos if enough people flag it

YouTube has been slow to fix this whole debacle because it makes them a shit load of money. It finally started losing them big name advertisers though so they finally see a reason to crack down on it.

And you really wouldn't need bots to do any of this. All the flash and CGI stuff could be churned out nonstop by a sweatshop of sorts. Listen to any of these videos where actual voices can be heard; western accents are a minority.
Humans following algorithms to make money, that's the simple explanation here. And those algorithms are gonna get effin weird if no one is keeping an eye on them.

Bots are easier, more reliable, and cheaper than a sweatshop. It's not hard to rip generic voice samples. Not sure if you've watched any of these videos but a majority of the animations don't use dialogue and repeat the same samples over and over.

These seem mutually exclusive. One thing I do find odd is people freaking out over perfectly benign vids of toddlers in baths or adolescent girls wearing swim trunks. If you see those as pornographic, newsflash, you are a pedo.

Machine learning isn't quite good enough to know "this is Elsa pose #26".
I'd assume there's a person somewhere in the process tossing in Equestria Girls heads, and then just letting the automated Flash authoring reuse the same motions and scripts.
