@SSJBKK20Vegito so is it safe to be any race other than a Saiyan in this? Xenoverse 1 was basically Super Saiyan special attack spam to quickly destroy enemies. I remember starting as a Majin and then restarting as a Saiyan because I just couldn't defeat enemies fast enough to save laughably bad AI allies like Yamcha

Cecil died like mainly because I had my h3 locked up and Minwu needed extra help because Laus randomly hopped off the minwu train and a few other people didnt show - it happens though.

Male Earthing are about as good as Saiayan male. (Though Super Vegeta is a straight broken transformation if you fire ki....)
Nameks are good, but not as good. Frieza Race are fine especially with ki blasts, same for female Majin. Female humans are balanced, (which isn't good in this type of game) and male Majins are just the worst thing ever made...

I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised if after his run this year everybody just forgets about Minwu and he winds up booted/soft booted. It's not like he has a swarm of fans or anything and the "flavor of the month" types just don't really do much of anything after their run in this contest. There are a bunch of examples so based on the history there isn't really any reason to believe Minwu will matter next year

I am only leaving Minwu if Marquess and Lopen both come out and say they have no interest in throwing him saves next year.

But 2 is a good game and deserves more respect so as long as people like you and nanis sit here throwing shade at this perfectly awesome character like hes just some joke the more likely it is I dig in my heels

While FF2 is still a terrible, terrible game, I WILL say that if anyone from it deserves to do well, it's Minwu. He shouldn't have taken 19 contests to make the field.

Also I'm not hating on him like Nanis. I mean he isn't an actual joke character. It's funny he is still in though because literally nobody on this entire board or the Internet in general would ever expect Minwu to make the top 15 FF characters in any contest unless it was only FF1-3 characters or some group rallied hard for him or something.

As for 2 the game it's fine if you love it. I mean you already know there are tons who don't and a lot who consider it the worst in the series, but I have no problem with you backing Minwu or anything

II is a good game!

Minwu is one of the most visible characters of the game too (one of the two guys Bartz cosplays at!) so he really deserves it.

I'm still partial to Firion though. I really want to get him a top half finish at least.

I haven't played FF2 but from everything Eddv has said about Minwu it's pretty obvious he likes him legitimately and not as a joke.

Like I enjoy that his existence trolls Nanis but I don't know where the whole "Minwu = joke" perception came from in the first place.

Was kinda expecting another lawyering with almost 500 posts.

Too bad I could have actually got a third save trading for Laguna but yeah movie day. Don't expect many issues this week and next though (maybe just next Friday but that should be it)

Think it's just more fun.

If you go that route and you don't want to be Saiyan I would say Majin female or Frieza race is how you want to go.

I mean I fully admit that II got a HUGE boost from me from the mobile games and Dissidia and caused me to give the game in general a second shot that I wouldn't have otherwise given it.

But it really is solid and it has a lot of cool character design work in it, Minwu just stands at the top of the heap from that perspective and he is OP as all fuck as a WHITE MAGE which is all manner of funny. I have made no secret that the HAND OF THE EMPEROR is my actual favorite from that game.

I mean, II sucks... but Minwu is Awsome as a character, and as a playable character for brokenness he falls behind only TCG (cause everyone in the series falls behind the auto win button) and settles in tier 2 along with Quistis, Vanille, Ramza late game, Zell, and everyone in X and XII except Kamahri and Lulu post game.
