I personally didn't like it, but I guess part of the reason is because I didn't see it in theaters. Or so, that's what friends tell me.

I was shitting on it back when it first came out. I found it generic and boring, the same story that's been told many times before (and often better and without dragging on as much).
It was visually impressive for the time though, maybe even still today if I went back and watched it. Lots of pretty scenes, but that doesn't make it a good movie necessarily. --- "It's Canada, their idea of rioting is a half-muttered swear word." - deathbeforelife ... Copied to Clipboard!

The visuals were amazing in the theater, but it's a very poor movie outside of that.

It was just another generic cookie cutter sjw bleeding heart movie.
