They're not great. I think they're more a thing to put up with than something that feels good to play a game with. Maybe you'll get used to them but I would much rather have a controller.

They're tiny, uncomfortable, shit battery life, only ways to charge while using is to stick them on the tablet or buy the overpriced charge grip

What? The joy cons have great battery life. They run for about 20 hours.

I've had multiple extended gaming sessions with the joy cons detached and never got a battery warning.

You don't need an additional accessory to charge the joy cons while using them. Just charge the switch while they're attached.

If your gaming sessions go more than 20 hours, I'd say you have bigger problems than the battery life of the joy cons.

It's nice to not have to charge controllers every other session

What's great is seeing the red light on a pro controller, giving you a 5-hour heads-up to charge it

Something can't be great if it's vastly inferior to things that are actually great

it takes 1 second to sit the controllers on the console

It takes effort and more than 1 second to sit them on the console, and then take them off the console and put them on the grip when you want to play in TV mode

Or you could just toss the pro controller on the floor when you're done with it and charge it once a month

i've had my switch for about a month and never had a prob with the joycons or their battery life. they seem to last for-fucking-ever and i've never had to worry about their charge

You seem to be under the impression that docked mode is the only way to play. I spend most of my time playing in handheld mode or with the display on its kickstand on a table.

I got mine back in February for $240. Same results, but I have a 144hz monitor so almost every game runs higher than 60fps. Batman Arkham Knight runs at a constant 90fps, but a few physx setting are off. DOOM mostly runs around 120-130fps, some drops in certain places, but never drops under 100.
