So bad. There are some good things and some great ideas, but so many more flaws.

Also, Yoda should never have fought with a lightsaber. The battle in the senate showed the potential of a straight force battle, and just makes Yoda seem so much more intimidating. When he's fighting with a saber, he just looks goofy :/

The music is pretty good, some of the best tracks in the series come from the prequels.

And I never tire of McGregor's performance as Obi Wan.

I think the duel in AOTC would have been cool with Mace Windu instead of Yoda. like, save Yoda's fight until ROTS where both he and Sidious fight without lightsabers and we get to see master force wielders go all out instead of just lightsabers again

I think the lightsaber fight between Chewbacca and Jar Jar was the best. Can't believe Jar Jar won.

This would have been perfect.

Maybe still have Sidious fight with a lightsaber when being arrested but when he loses his lightsaber, it's permanent.

Episode 3 is utter trash. Episode 1 isn't as bad as people meme it. Episode 2 is okay, episode 6 quality, not great, but serviceable. But fuck episode 3 so much

I liked the battle set-pieces a lot, but everything else was lame. Oh, and Order 66 was a good time too. I hate the Jedi.

The massive copout in choreographing when Anikan is doing the fighting still drags the whole scene down though

Episode 1 is tolerable, but completely pointless in the grand scheme of things
Episode 2 is garbage, but works as a good fix for insomnia
Episode 3 is decent, but I'd still probably put it lower than Ep. 6

These are true. Some of the battle sequences are great(though some are terrible, and not just the Yoda ones), Order 66 was a well done scene, Mcgregor was amazing even if his writing was mediocre, and the music is fantastic. I'll also throw in that the idea behind the trilogy, showing the flaws in the jedi order and how blind they are to their own mistakes, had potential, but it was handled so poorly.

Yeah, I agree with this. Mace Windu was an interesting character that was really underutilized. Would've been ever more interesting since he's supposed to be closer to the dark side than other jedi, so it would be much dirtier fighting.

I remember the first time I heard the name: Attack of the Clones for the second movie title, I immediately rolled my eyes.

That is SUCH a terrible name for a movie.

Music is good, but I hardly think that's a fair a thing to give the movies. Literally just hire that great composer guy, boom great music. It's far detached from the general development and quality of the films.

If you want to say "the prequels aren't all bad, just listen to the music!", sure, I'll give you that. But that's just pathetic.

Nothing else good about them. Not a single scene.

The prequels have good ideas, but the execution is what kills it. George Lucas, like many creative types, needs a filter. Someone who will and can say "no" to him, but since he had complete control the movies ended up like crap. Steven Spielberg gave up on saying no to Lucas when they did the newest Indiana Jones movie and look how that turned out.

I still really like the beginning and ending scenes of ROTS. The whole part where Obi Wan gives baby Luke to Owen and Beru made me tear up when I first saw it. It's a shame that the small flashes of brilliance like that in the films are surround by dumb crap.
