Is anyone else charge "forgeing fee" by their banks when buying on Coinbase? I bought some BTC on Coinbase with my CC with usd and somehow I'm getting screwed over due to "foreign fee" after each Coinbase payment.

I had to change Banks to a brand name bank because of my Dinkytown establishment blocking it all the time but I never got charged any weird fee like that when it did go through

for instance how's your current spread?

do you have a bunch in your preferred wallet or is it all on exchanges?

as for wallet i plan on going with myetherwallet since it doesn't cost a thing and i can just transfer the keys to a USB drive or two or write it down etc.

I try to move all of my crpytos at once so I'm not paying multiple fees.

And about 95% of my holdings are in my wallet, the rest are weird alts I'm too lazy to transfer over so they're sitting on exchanges.

Some coins you should definitely move to your wallet so you get the airdropped coins and dividends (BTC, ARK, NEO, etc.)

Tonight and tomorrow is going to be a pivotal fucking moment, keep your eye on the charts and have your spare fiat ready for the party.

so you can easily move from coinbase/binance to wallet and back again since it's the same as when i bought eth and sent to binance with corresponding exchange fees, correct?

also, there's something of a donation apparently called gas. how much should i put the number there?
from what i understand it's the incentive/fee needed to move my money to an exchange whereas moving to a wallet just requires the standard exchange fee.

Shouldn't you be able to set it up and then if it connects to the Chrome app that would confirm it's legit?

If you buy straight from Ledger you're good, as long as you buy from a trusted source you should be fine. Buying from some random third party seller or a dude on eBay is risky. I'm not sure if there's a way to verify that a Ledger is legit since the whole point is that the private key is generated on the device itself so it's not at risk due to a compromised computer.
