They had half of one bookshelf for African History.

I7rXvTV

^ Half of that.

They had literally two of those just for Women's Studies. There was approximately 4x as many books on Women's Studies than on African History.

No wonder people are so ignorant of the rest of the world in this country. People care more about Lena Dunham than about history that actually matters.

About 51% of people are women.
Only 16% or so of people are in Africa.

No, they had labels and stuff indicating where the sections started and ended

Well I did buy a book from the African History section, and I did NOT buy a book from the Women's Studies section, so at least I am voting with my wallet.

They had a Middle East section that was bigger than the African section actually, I noticed a lot on Afghanistan (which isn't even middle east technically but w/e) but I didn't take much of a look at it.

I didn't look at the Chinese section. They also had a big WWII section which I thought was cool, it had its own little aisle even.

There is certainly a lot more work on Egypt than most African countries, that I noticed, however it is important to note that that just refers to the amount that has been written about history, not the history itself. The history itself is certainly not 90% Egypt. It's just history that hasn't been written about that much relatively speaking.
