"Typical terrible GOP policy?" If you read something other than CNN and MSNBC you'd have noticed that illegal immigration is down, unemployment is down, the economy is up, stock market is up, home buying is up, consumer confidence is up, and job creation is up.

According to the fact that Trump's immediate regulation slashing upon taking office resulted in pretty much immediate positive economic indicators.

I do like that we've made progress though. We started out at the small mind crowd refusing to admit things are looking up under Trump, now it's a matter of getting them to add the second 2 to the first 2 and figure out how it happened. He really doesn't seem like he cares for the citizens tbh. Out of 5 candidates (Clinton, Sanders, Stein, Johnson, and himself) he would have either been my 4th or 5th choice.

The wall just seems like a waste of money, and he talked big on how he was going to make corrupt Mexico pay for it.

His actions after all the shit he talked about Obama, and continuous mentions of him and Hilary are a big turn off.

The fact that he wasn't a career politician doesn't really help when his family comes from money, and he's actually known and befriended said politicians. Had he shown some type of community involvement before his presidential run, I would have a better chance of believing this wasn't just for his own ego. It honestly seems like a season of the apprentice while he's there. Too many people in and out of positions in that administration that had no business being there in the first place.

I know this post is kind of all over the place, but Trump hasn't really proved to me he was the better choice. The economy has been improving since 2009/10. Jobs have been available for years now and unemployment has been going down at a steady pace. It's nice that he hasn't stopped it from happening, but I have not seen much improvement over the last year otherwise.

Honestly, his foreign policy has been more sensible than his predecessors so far.

I think, all in all, that his deregulation and government streamlining goals pose an existential threat to a lot of special interests that benefit from the government bloat/inefficiencies/overreach and that also command a great deal of influence in society, due in large part to those benefits.
