I teach fourth grade.

Is there much jizz scraping involved in your line of work?

zgqSM3U

Oops. I thought jizz meant sticky stuff like candy and sugary drinks on the floor of a theatre. Now I know.

....wut?

English is not my first language. We call this as jizz. I thought you same.

its slang for semen in america.

Currently a full-time college student.

Used to work as an after school coach for elementary school students and night crew for Smart and Final.

I'm applying for a job with the local school district again now that I have a flexible school schedule.

I hope this is for real. I'd love it if there was an actual astronomer on CE.

It is. Currently a grad student, but I'm doing research in the field and teaching classes.

Neat! What are your career plans? Professor? Something else? Please tag me when you respond.

A professor job would be nice, but unfortunately there are way more graduates entering the workforce than there are tenure track jobs opening up each year. I'll apply for those, but I'm not expecting much to come from it. I've been looking into working at a research lab where I have some allotted time to pursue my own projects, but mostly work on the projects assigned to me. Other than that, astronomers tend to pick up a lot of programming so industry is a possibility as well.

(Sorry about the tagging. I never have reason to use it so I tend to forget it exists)

Good luck. I had a nuclear science class with someone who dropped out of an astrophysics Ph.D. program to pursue medical physics because the job market was sour.

waypoint is a weird one

some of their written articles are good, but their video content is p bad. i mean a lot of it is 1hr+ playthroughs which are dry

the main editor of waypoint started off in the UK office but then moved over to US when it went big

RRT

Good stuff. My dad is a CRT.

That means he's been in the game for a while. They don't even hire CRT anymore for some reason

Yea, he is been in it for 15 years

Thanks for the reply! I always wanted to be an astronomer but never thought I had the right kind of intelligence to be successful, so I left that major back when I was in college. I hope you find your place in the field.

Thank you!

For me it's still the Andromeda galaxy. Even though it can be seen with just your eye, knowing that little blob on the sky is a galaxy larger than our own is awesome to me.
