Youre not doing anything to make him seem more worthy of being told their strategy. He coordinated for Finn and Rose (who he barely knows) to leave the ship, why would anyone risk telling their plan to the most reckless dude on the ship just because hes not definitely a spy? This dude literally just got most of the Resistance killed and you think hes the most trustworthy guy in the universe for some odd reason.

Finn is the reason Poe is alive. That's kinda instant trust right there. And why tell him? Could it be that the Resistance obviously trusts him and if he were to know something was cooking he could placate anyone else having mutinous thoughts?

The Resistance doesn't revolve around what Poe wants. He needed to prove that he could follow orders. He failed and Leia had to shoot him with a stungun.

Also the red herring was that she was a cowardly leader with no plan. Not that she was an Imperial Spy.

Again ignoring that they were prolonging their deaths for no apparent reason. I really don't fucking care what "lesson" he was supposed to learn. Obviously others didn't trust her (inevitable death thing, kind of a big deal) or there'd be no mutiny.

Can we stop discussing the "maybe there was a spy" angle? It's actually kinda useless because Holdo's whole plan was to slip away to Crait on the cloaked transports with the FO being none the wiser. The showdown on Crait was never supposed to happen at all >_>.

So a spy would have blown the plan wide open regardless of whether Holdo told anyone or not. Probably could have filled the same role as Codebreaker guy and the transports would have been blown up anyway. It's obvious that at that point, she was operating under the assumption that there was no spy because if there was, it wouldn't make a difference either way.

...well, or she should have been.

Nah it's pretty pointless except for a hamfisted animal cruelty message. No shit there's someone funding the war, they didn't elaborate at all they just stated a fact. And unless they timeskip 15 years to when those children are actually useful in a fight it's a pointless tidbit that's served just as well in Leia's "we have people everywhere we just need to call them" plan.

Because he was continuing being disobedient despite being demoted earlier in the day for refusing to follow orders and getting people killed. Of course he was going to be shut down. Leia already took away his privileges but he didn't take it seriously because she got knocked into a coma.

And yes he was the one who publicly confronted her on the bridge in front of everyone. He was attempting to completely undermine her authority. This is not acceptable behavior for a soldier at all.

That whole Poe in timeout thing was such a clusterfuck. I agree with all the people saying he needed to at least be thrown a bone about the real plan instead of being left to sit and stew thinking Holdo was just gonna do nothing until they all died. Even if you think that since he was demoted he has no right to do anything than just take order and shut up, he was just demoted. Ergo he was probably still in the mindset that he had more authority and importance than his newly designated position allowed him, and it's reasonable to assume he would still act like a commander instead of a captain. And on top of him seeming to not know who Holdo was when she was introduced, it's a pretty easy conclusion to draw that he won't trust her and take matters into his own hands. It was stupid characters doing stupid things that were necessary to move the plot along, which is usually bad storytelling. And fyi if Poe hadn't kamekazied the bombers in the dreadnought it would have blasted the Mon Calamari capital ship anyway, so...

Also why was them being tracked through hyperspace such a surprise anyway? Obi Wan tracked Jango from Kamino to Geonosis with a simple tracking beacon on the hull of the ship.
