when i was a teacher, i had a lot of filipino students. i had them call me Kuya instead of mister cuz, you know. culture. then i had some other students and they called me mister, and then they started talking between each other to me and they got confused and some kids would just call me Mister Kuya Ian lol.

Ian is my name btw.

Oh okay, my brother's in-laws are Filipino and I've heard Kuya used before when referring to the oldest brother.
