I mean that sucks but it's ultimately their decision. Laws shouldn't be made around pregnant women, they're the ones who need to take care of themselves and their unborn child.

We must be talking about different things. Women can choose what they do with their unborn. Remember Her body, her choice? I did not say the mother can do abusive things to the child when it is birthed.

You'd find very little support of people who want to kill or abuse an 8 month developed fetus.

The concept is what you do with something before it is alive.

When women are pregnant, there's a whole laundry list of things that they should not consume because it presents an unnecessary risk. Being that pot is a narcotic, it just seems to be a "better safe than sorry" type of situation. Even without hard data it is common sense that something like that is going to have an affect on the developing fetus.

I'm not defending the article (as I haven't even read it yet), but insufficient data doesn't necessarily mean the opposite is true. What I mean is, there may not have been enough studies or research into the effects of marijuana during fetal development.

Which has me quzzled. How are they drawing conclusions based off of incomplete data? Not enough studies or research but they're already convinced at the result. Thats not proper science at all.
