Ive been up and down on Xenoblade 2 but really love it now despite its problems. I feel like the first 15 or so levels of the game werent good and I just felt like it was a bad game and I felt kinda crappy about that. But it got a lot better (and at times, worse)

The game gets a bit linear at times, oddly, and those sections combined with the persistent flaws in the game are just real downers.

The prospect of a more linear Xenoblade is kind of a good thing to me but I can see how it could frustrate fans of specifically the "blade" portion of the series

(Xenogears/especially Saga were... quite a bit more linear)

for what it's worth i'm probably never going back to xenoblade. i'm in agreement on the stuff most people think is bad about it but the fact people who like it talk about the characters and story tell me this game is not for me because i've never so strongly disliked the cast and writing in a game.

is it more or less likelier that owens/zayn interferes when they already had an appearance on the preshow?

ok so i finally got deep into ffx (for like the 7th time). i hit the thunder plains and made some use of the pc version's encounter toggle to get lightning dodger immediately - but more importantly, for now, the three strength spheres for dodging 100 bolts, which is game changing at this point. i gave one each to tidus, wakka, and auron, and kimahri is following wakka's path so also will get to make use of it soon, and immediately i was overkilling everything in sight, which only grew my levelling exponentially (the nice trick to ffx is if you can tip the balance to be overpowered just enough at any point to overkill everything (especially making sure to overkill the bosses!) you level even faster). i'm now tearing my way through bikanel and getting ready to finally meet and recruit brother so i can get stuck in to blitzball.
