The console has like no backwards compatibility. I knew ps3 games would probably not be backwards compatible, that much is obvious. But not even ps1 games?

I bought so many psn games when I bought a ps3. Am I screwed out of accessing them forever? Should I be gaming with a ps3 and ps4 simultaneously if that's the case? Would appreciate some feedback on this issue.

Pretty sure as long as you have your PSN info you can. Also 3 of those games are on PC right now.

I'm guessing this was something that people complained about a lot huh? I'm not saying it's a deal breaker but to not be backwards compatible with a ps1 game library is pretty fucked up imo

Those are available for ps4, but they charge more because they added some cheats for them, I think trophies to.

But... I already bought the games on ps3. I own them don't I? I'm not rebuying them.

You own the "PSN Classics" version. The PS4 version has HD textures or whatever and costs more, so they don't automatically give it to you

when did it become a crazy notion to keep an older console and using both? the expectation is everything on the old consoles have to work on the new one and if you have to keep two consoles hooked up its not fair...

Its stupid as fuck and as soon as they changed from cartridges to disks it should have been the norm. PS2 set the precedent and PS3 maintained the precedent until they realized they could fleece the consumers

Ok...Some people didn't have a Sega Saturn and there wasn't some outrage about the Dreamcast not playing Saturn games....Backwards compatibility was at first just something that was seen as an added bonus...now its an expectation and I really don't understand why.
