Maybe the story just sucks, but I do not understand the initial hype. Has it died down a bit and have people come to terms with its mediocrity yet?

I enjoyed the movie well enough. It had been a while since we had a decent horror movie about an actual monster and not a spooky ghost that doesn't physically appear. It's not a great movie, but it's serviceable.

I'm still of the opinion that it's a 10/10 remake. Easily an improvement on the original in pretty much every way. People like to say Tim Curry was good as Pennywise - he wasn't. He was hilarious, yes, but that's not what Pennywise is supposed to be about.

I'd say it's my favorite movie of the year, but I'm not really a movie GUY, so....
It's just crazy that we got a horror movie that actually had good characters, child actors no less, good enough that they would have stood the test even of this wasn't a horror movie. --- "I think Cuphead should be higher." - Abby from Brooklyn ... Copied to Clipboard!
