I'll post mine in a bit so people don't think I made this topic to brag about having a baby -_-

1. Received full scholarship to college
2. Straight A's first semester
3. Got a job playing music at Potbelly to make some money while going through college
4. Was given highest honor at my high school
5. Won my local city-wide youth talent show
HM: Getting asked to be someone's best man

Ranking is hard. These were all pretty awesome things for me, but I think the first two things will probably have the most impact going forward, even though they're not necessarily the things I look at and think of as fantastic accomplishments. They were really more of the expectation for me, because if I didn't perform that well academically I would've disappointed myself.

The gig at Potbelly is sweet because I get money for doing what I love, and it's not bad income for the job. Obviously it's nothing that I could ever live off of, but I'm not independent yet so that's okay. It's great college spending money / savings for later.

Being given the highest honor at my high school and winning that talent show are both going to forever be amazing memories that I'll never let go of, but I can't say for sure that I'm better off because of those things happening. Maybe they gave me a confidence boost that I'm doing things right, but that's about it.

2. Got a good pay rise at work. (33%)
3. Started a new relationship.
4. Passed my TEFL.
5. Visited the Philippines.

1 and 2 basically tie in but I got promoted to Head of English at my school.
Started dating a new girl I met in 2016.
Passed my TEFL which allows me access to teaching in a lot more countries so provides good opportunities for new experiences.
Struggled to find a fifth one haha. Holidayed to Boracay in Philippines last February and it was awesome. Great weather, beautiful scenery and awesome people. Would recommend it to anybody.

3. Joined an acting class and made good friends
4. Sold out a comic I made with a friend
5. Entered my first relationship...though it ended three months later

Too lazy to make a full list.

1. The moments leading up to game 7 of the World Series.

It was all downhill once it started but the hope and anticipation from the moment game 6 ended to the start of game 7 provided a feeling I couldn't possibly describe. Just attending a game 7, much less game 7 of the world series, was something I'd always wanted more than nearly anything. Knowing i was attending game 7 of the world series in less than 24 hours was pretty special. Even though the outcome went south in a hurry it was still a fantastic experience. 2018 will have a hard time topping this.

1. Got out of a toxic relationship and learned a lot about myself in the process
2. started taking a more active role in the community, starting taiko classes, volunteering as LGBT+ support, participating in the sports festival, going to parties
3. visited Akihabara, one of my life's dreams. Also Tokyo Pride and everything else from that fantastic Golden Week
4. Made some truly great new friends here. I hadn't made many new friends in years, and was kind of coasting on internet friends and high school friends.
5. got ever so slightly more competent in Japanese, which has led to enjoying my life here even more than before.
