Its final arc is pure trash that loses all sense of what it is No it's just better written, better paced, and put together more coherently than everything that happens in '03 post ~~Lior~~. And much of the setup for the closing chapter in Brotherhood is sprinkled throughout the earlier chapters, so when you discover the ~~nation-wide transmutation circle that Pride~~ has been guarding you know all that stuff is tied up in something huge that's about to go down and that some fundamental truth of alchemy is at the center of it. Those final ten episodes for FMA '03 really had rush to wrap up the plot and it becomes clear the production team didn't really know what to do with themselves. I've mentioned I'm a fan of both, but the planning allowed the 09 adaptation makes a world of difference. --- Whatever happened to standards?
