I've probably heard every voice line and the magic is lost

Anything I can do to fix that?

Any expansive mods CE recommends?

Have you played Oblivion/Morrowind?

EDIT: Also, try those survival mods that add like freezing damage and camping and hunger, then do some role play. Completely changes the game.

I'm curious. What compels you to play that game so much? After I spend 30 or so hours in a game like Skyrim or Fallout, I feel I've seen pretty much all I want to see.

Have you played The Witcher 3? It doesn't have any of the character customization stuff that Skyrim does, but the sense of adventure and exploration blows Skyrim out of the water.

Yes

Did the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood in Oblivion, also the arena. Not too much else since my CPU isn't the greatest in the world (2.7 ghz) so if I try to make the game not look all dopey and add mods that I feel are necessary then it chops up my framerate

I've dabbled in Morrowind, fun game but I have to admit it's kind of dated. I can't immerse myself in it too effectively. Or, well, I can, but there's so much stuff that it's hard for me to commit to what kind of person my character should be

When I was playing BotW I did think how cool TES would be if it made food and environment more interactive but from the more popular mods I've tried for it in Skyrim, I felt that it was just kind of frustrating because the game clearly wasn't built with it in mind

Yeah Morrowind is pretty tough to get into. If you can, it's great, but I don't blame you.

Definitely try looking around for those survival mods. Sorry I forget the names- I think ones like Realistic Needs and Diseases, another is like Frostfall? They're really cool.

I first got Skyrim when I was in like middle school or something and I wasn't (and still am not that much) social at all. It became my second life, it just completely drew me in. I'd never experienced anything like it. Only other game to do that to me is Mount & Blade and Fallout New Vegas. It's not the raw gameplay, which is just okay enough to pass (although magic feels super good in Skyrim and it spoiled me for the earlier games).

I'm probably gonna get flack for this but I've played W3 on and off and I prefer Witcher 1 and 2. W1 is a dated slog at times but the writing is surprisingly compelling. It really does feel like a grand adventure where everything is interconnected. Super cool moment is when you finally meet Berengar for example, there's just so much meat to that game's plot. Witcher 2 is a really well paced adventure and I love Roche path because it turns into a really good revenge quest. So I came right off those before I got into W3 and in comparison W3 felt very meandering and without much motivation for me to play. W1 and W2 were tightly interconnected but besides some callbacks W3 ignores that stuff and relationships you built in those games so I often lose interest in playing.
