First time on Tarzan's world and Clayton (the hunter) just tried to kill the gorilla and we told him to get lost. So I'm not real sure where I need to go, but I started going up and killing mobs and then a gorilla comes and gives me a gift

Well now I'm in the area where you use magic on the flowers to get stuff and I'm fighting mobs in here, but it's fucking endless. It never stops. Will it stop or do I need to go some place else?

There really is no advice I can give. Don't let one horribly designed world discourage you.

I'm just asking if this is an endless stream of mobs or if I can just move on. Because the gorilla keeps showing up after I clear an area of mobs.

You have to go to specific locations, like the tree house and defeat heartless, save a gorilla, and move on to another area. Eventually a cutscene will play and you proceed to a place near the camp for a boss battle. Then you seal the keyhole and leave Deep Jungle forever, unless you're a completionist.

I think there is something I'm missing by swinging from the vines. That's the only thing that comes to mind

From memory you need to go to. Campsite, the bamboo spot, the mountain area, treetop and treehouse. Each time a gorilla should give you a Gummi.

Then I think you go back to campsite and something happens. Then you go fight the tiger in the bamboo area. Then back to campsite, up to treehouse then to the mountain area.
