I enjoyed a lot of the game, my biggest problem came later on when I realized pretty much all the factions are assholes and I didn't want to side with any of them.

I need to get back to it eventually, I haven't even played with most of the DLC.

Great game. Only thing I didnt like was the dialogue system.

Yeah, I always knew which direction I wanted to hit already... Should at least present a list and have it not be in order so I actually have to pay attention

I didn't like what they did to loot in that game. Very few of the unique weapons actually felt unique.

Yeah, and skyrim syndrome, where it was almost useless to open chests and locked storage closets

I keep accidentally bringing up my pip boy when I'm done taking all I want out of a container

I really like the crafting system and building settlements

I haven't fooled with power armor too much yet, I'm scared of running out of fusion cores

Yeah, after a certain point I stopped bothering to even search chests anymore. I would only look for crafting materials and that's about it.

It was much more fun to find stuff like the Lincoln Repeater or Solar Fist or whatever in the previous games.

Aye, I checked and I have 5 achievements left in fallout 4.. can't say I feel like doing them now, oh well

Also have 12 left in the WItcher 3, but a few of those require a new playthrough... :X

I played around 150 hours when I got it. I never did finish the main story. I did mostly like my time with it, but it does have some problems. Do love me some sneaky gauss though.

Gameplay-wise it's pretttty good. Story and world-building? No, just no. Most of the characters are lame and don't have enough personality as well.

That's crazy to me that you got that far after only 18 hours. It took me roughly 150 hours before I ran into that quest. Hell, I didn't even start the main story until after 50 hours... But then again I'm the type that likes to investigate every nook and cranny.

I wish people that didn't play the good fallouts would shut the hell up with praising "fallout" 4, it doing so well despite being a giant pile of shit is why we'll never see another actual good fallout that isn't just CoD:Wasteland edition

Hell no, nothing I said was remotely untrue, they took literally everything that made the fallout games great, scrapped it, and exchanged it for... tighter shooting, 1 step forward, 50 steps back, steaming pile of monkey shit, RIP in peace, fallout

I played both Fallout 3 and New Vegas and I enjoyed both.

I sprained the lcl in my right knee Thursday so I spent all weekend in bed playing it. I've been doing mostly side quests, settlement stuff and exploring. I see what everyone is saying about locked doors/containers, the loot in them is pretty stupid. You die a lot more in this one too.

I did finally get Piper to be my girlfriend though

Eventually you end up swimming in them. Especially if you take the find more ammo perk, on occasion you'll find like 4 of them in a container.

Though I prefer to play without power armor.

On my cousin's file, he was doing the quest where you escort a young ghoul named Billy(I think). When he went back to sanctuary, one of the settlers put on power armor and just started pummeling the escort npc. They got stuck in a loop of the guy just railing on him. lol
He had to reload a previous save to fix it.

Definitely. The lore is OK stand-alone as well. The gameply is pretty fun overall though, yes. Building stuff, while not perfect, is enjoyable too if you're into that.
