It's not confirmed that a joint ice hockey team will be used (still needs IOC and IIHF approval). I disagree with the move from a sports perspective. Adding 15 more players will affect the South Koreans along adding more unneeded pressure to the team from the media. It is also unfair to other teams, even if South Korea is expected to get crushed by all the other teams competing. There is also the logistics of fitting 35 players on a 22 player bench...

Yeah, basically, I'm okay with waiving deadlines, but any NK players would still need to show evidence they have reached any qualification requirements as any other player would be required to meet. Additionally I would insist that all teams/individuals have the same sporting laws applied on the day of the competition, which would cover squad size, coaching, equipment whatever.
