Idk, he lost his show right? Is he up to anything else? I'm sure grungey little comedy clubs will still sell out for him if he wants to perform.

Will he ever be allowed to come back in a big way?

If he was smart he would double down and make jokes about jerking off in front of women. Louis CK's shtick has always been that he's a terrible creepy guy. It's hilarious. He did the worst thing he could do in making such a groveling apology.

What he did was rude. But that's about it. He caused a couple people to have a moment of discomfort.

He used his power as a more famous comedian to intimidate female comedians into letting him jack off. So no. Its more than rude.

And to the other poster it really depends on how he jokes about it. If he jokes about it not being a big deal than hes going to get more blowback

Hell get yelled at in the beginning of his standup by a random person or two. The rest of the audience will yell at those people to shut the fuck up.

Huffington Post, Jezebel, Mother Jones, and Buzzfeed will run articles about how him and his audience are a bunch of misogynists and these venues he performs at and comedy clubs in general help foster a culture of misogyny.

I think so. He'll disappear for awhile then come back. He'll obviously have to address what happened, if he can pull that off without making things worse he'll be fine.

What he did really wasn't that bad. Don't get me wrong, what he did was inappropriate, gross.......and frankly just kind of weird. But it's ridiculous how some people are lumping him in with a pos like Weinstein.

People make it seem like his "victims" had no choice. Any adult with a modicum of dignity and assertiveness has to be able to say to someone (even a famous person! Imagine that--saying no to someone famous) "No, you can't jerk it in front of me", or to just get up and leave. Or if they initially thought he was joking, to say "what the fuck; I thought you were joking. Put your pants back on". They had a choice and they made it.

If he had cornered them, or screamed at them, or grabbed them, that's a different thing. He asked, and they consented. But his power! Boo hoo.

dude, shut the fuck up

he'd block the doorway out

he's also 6' tall and decently built

let's also not forget to mention that anybody who's gonna think that it's okay to trap people in a room and wank it in front of them isn't gonna be somebody you can rationalize, argue, or plead with (especially not with something like "no, you can't jerk it in front of me")

and no, i actually was and still am a big fan of his comedy

doesn't mean that i have to condone his actions or belittle his victims like some kind of jackass fanboy, though

That he was blocking the door is a rumor. If he did block it, why didn't the two women interviewed for the New York Times article say that he did? NYT was interviewing them based on the unsubstantiated allegations published by a website (Gawker) and subsequently repeated by others, so surely the NYT would have asked the women that important question if they for some reason didn't volunteer the information. If they had told the NYT that he had blocked the door, don't you think it would have been in the article? That's an extremely important detail.

You be less stupid. There's no reason whatsoever to believe he blocked the door, you're confusing him with Weinstein. He also asked for permission every time, and this was before be was a big star like he is now. It's a creepy thing to do but it's pretty clear he was dealing with some issues probably from his mother and wife in a very weird way, but he did t assault anyone or blackmail or even pressure anyone into doing anything, hell he never even touched anyone.

The man will be back. Just like Pryor can come back from setting himself on fire while smoking crack, Louis can come back from this relatively minor speed bump.
