I wouldn't consider it ethical. The ads are there to give you viruses. They make money, literally by giving people viruses, so no, the ethical thing is to get rid of all ads and find another way to run the site.

I don't think it's unethical to block ads at all, on any site. For one, ads are how most people get infected with shit. Furthermore, they're often intrusive and slow down page loading. Right now as I type this uBlock Origin is stopping 18 ads. On many sites it skyrockets into the 50s or higher. There's also the arguable factor that I don't owe anyone shit for browsing their site. The internet is built for the freedom of information. If I like a site enough and there is danger of it going under I'd much rather donate than have ads plastered all over the place, of which many people like myself are going to block anyway.

You shouldn't unblock them here or anywhere else. You owe the companies nothing, and it's basic computer security to block all attempts to install malware.

It's unethical for a website to expect it's users to stop every thirty seconds and close an ad. I got sick of it and just installed an ad blocker.
