Obama wouldn't have to because he actually at least tried to focus on American politics instead of throwing a tantrum every day because of the media. He also didn't actively try to suppress the media... I can't really think of any presidents that did until now.

Can you name one of the examples given that was actually legitimately fake news? No one is infallible, and itd be ridiculous to expect these enormous media corporations to go a full year without some inaccurate news.

Yes, stories are botched sometimes. And yes, these outlets let their bias influence them to a degree. But as someone said earlier ITT, this shows how overall reliable these places are, considering the inaccuracies were corrected, as well as the reporters who screwed up facing consequences. Thats literally not fake news in any way.

Of course, the one outlet that consistently publishes actual fake news is Fox. The majority of rational Americans realize this, as Fox took the fake news crown (and in the conservative leaning Rasmussen survey, no less!). Of course, the fact that Trump chose to omit Fox News speaks loud and clear as to his position: Fake News is detestable, although its okay when the guys on my side are spreading it to smear the left. Pretty sad if you ask me.

Yeah, but its not surprising at all. Mal is one of the worst offenders at cherry-picking and selectively quoting posts on here, along with the Admiral. They deceptively quote small snippets of a post that they feel they can challenge, often completely removing any relevant context in order to skew how it appears. Meanwhile, they completely ignore the other 90% of the post they quoted.

Its an entirely dishonest tactic, but par for the course for these guys.

There's no question they've doubled down when Trump unofficially declared war on the mainstream media. They'll come out with ridiculous lies - even editing videos, and once the damage is done, it's done. IF they even come out to apologize or set the record straight, like 5% of people get to see it, while the rest got caught up in the hysteria and never see the corrections.
