I refuse to accept them as retro until the PS6, Xbox... Negative, and the... Nintendo... Super Duper Wii U Wuu (or whatever they call it) come out.

I have a hard time calling them retro just because gameplay hasnt really changed all that much since then
Like there is a major change in design philosophies between N64/PS1 and GC/PS2/Xbox Halo CE for example is a 2001 game that isnt notably different, other than graphics, from its modern counterparts --- The words of The Golden Eel have been revealed... Don't really care.
I guess when I think about it, it's fair. I would have considered the SNES to be retro in 2010, 20 years on, so those consoles are too if I go purely by that length of time. ... Copied to Clipboard!

The time from the NES release (NA) to the Gamecube release is nearly identical to the time between the Gamecube release and today.
